Bolga baskets are hand-woven in the town of Bolgatanga, Ghana in West Africa. The weavers are mostly farmers and their families who supplement their income by making and selling baskets. The baskets are made from elephant grass. They are colored with plant extracts and do not stain or run. Leather handles finish off the basket. These make great gifts.

We offer four different styles, which include:
 

• Large Market Baskets-
  |This is a top seller, being the most versatile and colorful of all the baskets we offer. 14"-1 8" inch diameter
   

• Small Market Baskets-
  This is a smaller version of the large market basket. Kids love these and they have many household used. 6"- 8" inch diameter
   

• Shopper Baskets-
  These baskets have a more slender profile making them easier to carry. Works great as a grocery bag, beach bag or to hold magazines.
   

• Fruit Baskets-
  These are great medium-size baskets perfect for making fresh fruit baskets or a knitting project!
