William Bohnert settled in the Rogue Valley and started a family in 1884. He raised six children, many of whom stayed in the area and started their own farms. His youngest son, John purchased Seven Oaks Farm and sold produce from it all over the state. When his daughter Doreen married Don Bradshaw in 1954 John brought them both into the business. They raised four children here, started a herd of purebred horned Hereford cattle and eventually began a seasonal produce stand on the farm. When their daughter Lori graduated from OSU she and her husband, Jerry Mefford showed cattle across the US for awhile then teamed up with Don and Doreen to help run the farm. They also switched from Hereford cattle to producing club calves. Their kids, Clint and Taylor, have a cow-herd of their own and they also  in at the produce stand each summer. It truly is a "Family" famr and in 1993 we were honored to receive the "Farm Family of the Year" award from the Governor. We love what we do and that is why we are still here.
